To write this chronicle, select an important figure in the world of accounting: Fray Luca Pacioli was one of the most remarkable figures of the Italian Renaissance, and he was remembered above all as the “Father of Accounting.” He was born in 1447 in Sansepolcro, a small town in Tuscany, Italy. His early life was connected to the Franciscan order, because he entered the monastery and became a friar. Although his origins were humble, his passion for learning was strong, and his destiny was marked by education, mathematics, and faith.

Critical thinking and Media literacy are deeply interconnected skills, considered fundamental in the modern information age. The primary contribution of combining these two concepts lies in fostering an informed, discerning, and participatory citizenry. * Critical Thinking (CT) is the ability to analyze information objectively and make reasoned judgments. It involves skills like: * Analyzing arguments and evidence. * Identifying assumptions and biases. * Evaluating sources and claims. * Drawing logical conclusions. * Media Literacy (ML) is the ability to access, analyze, evaluate, create, and act using all forms of communication.  "Crime and punishment" represents society's attempt to establish order and justice. When an individual commits a crime – an act that violates established laws and harms the collective good – society responds with a form of punishment. This response serves several purposes: * Deterrence: To discourage the offender and others from committing similar acts in the future. * Retribution: To ensure that offenders face consequences proportionate to their actions. * Rehabilitation: To help offenders reform and reintegrate into society. * Incapacitation: To remove dangerous individuals from society to protect others. The challenge lies in balancing these goals, ensuring that the system is fair, effective, and humane, reflecting both the severity of the offense and the potential for an individual's redemption.
